BBC Local Radio stations broadcast information about charities and also appeals. Contact the Managing Editor of your local BBC Radio station for more information. Click here for a list of local BBC radio stations.
The BBC runs regular appeals for charities whose work has a UK-wide or international scope. Click here for more information and guidelines about applying.
Appeals are made weekly on BBC Radio 4 on Sunday mornings and evenings, and monthly on BBC One's Lifeline programme, which is transmitted on Sunday between 4pm and 6pm. The Radio 4 appeal is repeated on Thursday afternoon, while Lifeline is repeated on BBC Two the following Wednesday between 1pm and 2pm.
Charities cannot apply more than once every two years for these appeals, and previously successful applicants cannot apply for three years.
The deadline for charities to apply for the next year's Blue Peter Appeal is usually around February. More information about applying for the Blue Peter Appeal can be found here.
