Recommended graphic design books for charities (1)

Most design books are aimed at graphic design students or professionals so tend to be too theoretical or technical. Often books have examples of good design but don't explain why the design is good, so are of little use to someone with no graphic design training.

For a practical introduction to design with great examples and clear explanations, I recommend the 'Basics Design' series by Gavin Ambrose and Paul Harris. This series includes the following books:
